This Privacy Policy describes how the Markdown Editor application (package com.markdowneditorviewer.app, the “App”) handles your information. We respect your privacy and have designed the App to keep everything on your own device.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not gather, log, or transmit your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage data, or the content of the documents you create or edit.

How your files are handled

• Documents you open, create, or edit are read from and written to locations you choose on your device through the system file picker. The App accesses only the specific files you select.
• Automatic backups and recent-file information are stored privately within the App’s own storage on your device.
• None of this information ever leaves your device or is sent to us or any third party.

Permissions

The App requests no special permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage beyond the individual files you explicitly open or save through the system file picker.

Internet and third parties

The App does not connect to the internet and contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software. Because nothing is transmitted, no data is shared with anyone.

Sharing and exporting

When you choose to share or export a document (for example, sharing text or printing to PDF), that action is initiated by you and handled by the apps and services you select on your own device. We are not involved in and do not receive any of that content.

Children’s privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It is safe for users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
